A Hawaii-based, women-owned structural steel contractor with over 30 years of proven performance across residential, commercial, and government projects.
IG Steel, LLC was founded with a singular mission: to deliver structural steel construction in Hawaii with the precision, professionalism, and local expertise that mainland contractors simply can't match.
Based in Kapolei on Oahu, we've spent over 30 years building relationships with Hawaii's general contractors, developers, and government agencies. We understand the unique logistical challenges of island construction — from inter-island shipping coordination to navigating Hawaii's specific building codes and environmental requirements.
As a certified women-owned business enterprise, we bring diversity and a fresh perspective to every project, while maintaining the technical rigor and safety culture that structural steel demands.
Today, IG Steel employs 45+ professionals — certified crane operators, experienced iron workers, BIM coordinators, and project managers — who are all committed to delivering every project on time, on budget, and to the highest standard of quality.
Every project we take on reflects our core values: safety above all else, precision in execution, transparency in communication, and a genuine commitment to Hawaii's communities and workforce.
A fully integrated team with the equipment, expertise, and local knowledge to handle your project from planning through final inspection.
Detailed planning before a single piece of steel is ordered. We review constructability, identify risks, and create a clear execution plan.
We use Building Information Modeling to coordinate all trades in 3D space, eliminating costly field conflicts before construction begins.
Experienced project managers who coordinate with GCs, subs, and suppliers to keep every phase of work moving efficiently.
Material scheduling via barge, steamboat, consolidated, and air freight. We track every shipment to ensure your material arrives when needed.
Experienced iron workers who take pride in doing the job right. Quick mobilization, precise placement, and rigorous quality control.
OSHA-compliant operations, certified crane operators, and a safety-first culture that protects our workers and your project site.
